Lets go fishing!
Just brought home a cool retro project. Wanting to modernize it while retaining the original look. Needing factory replacement fairings and possibly gas tank. Please PM me your contact info, or post recommendations. Thanks!

If you don't already have it, this may be your most valuable resource.

Thank you for that recommendation :thumbup

Also, if any BARF'ers have an early 2000's R1 complete steer assembly with handle bars, hand controls, triple tree, forks, brakes, and wheel and/or early 2000's GSXR1000 complete swingarm assembly, with brakes, and rear wheel sitting around collecting dust... Hit me up if you would like to donate them to an AWESOME project! Thanks

Check out the "maybe" period correct key chain :teeth

I have an early 2000's R1 fork with triples and stem. No other parts. Will trade for a 30 pack of Montucky Cold Snacks.

Wait a minute, you have a VF750 keyfob for your Yamaha FJ ? Shame on you.
Those old FJs are great bikes. Looking forward to seeing it transformed.

I have some parts you'll want... gas tank, needs paint but no dents. Complete Vance and Hines exhaust system. Oxidized from years of storage, but no dents or rash. I also have a complete FZR1000 frontend and wheels, and a few other FJ parts including a fairing with instruments, carbs, and some misc parts. Send me a PM for details.

Don't forget a OEM Yamaha parts place. I have a 1986 Fazer, and some parts are still available from Yamaha.

I have an RZ frame with GSXR bits on both ends, complete. It's in the way and I have no use for it, but it looks like you have some Yamaha parts being offered.

If Frame Maker doesn't have use for the rear end, I'll gladly working something out between the two of you :thumbup

Did someone say RZ...? This has my attention :teeth

The RZ frame has a fairing stay welded to the front, and has race bodywork including fiberglass tank.
I could probably look through some old messages on here and find the exact year and model of GSXR bits that are bolted on.
I'd want to pull the remote reservoir Fox shock off the rear end but the rest of it can go.
Also have a bin of various engine parts that I probably won't use, big carbs, extra side panels, etc.

I'd really like to minimize the extraneous RZ stuff now that both bikes are pretty much complete.

I thought I sent PM's, but I looked back and nothing. Frame Maker, please PM me your contact info. Thanks!

I finally had a chance to speak with flipstyledsm22 today. I told him that if we can work out a 3-way arrangement where I could end up with the RZ rolling chassis, that I would give him all of my FJ1100 parts:thumbup We both seamed excited about this arrangement. So mean dad what do you need out of this deal?:teeth

Hummm, do I need to make a trip to see you :thumbup I can bring a stock RZ shock to swap out so you keep the Fox, and the chassis will still be rolling. I'd also be very interested to have a look through that bin of extra engine bits... I'm collecting engine parts for a new RZ350 custom frame project. Anything engine (or electrical) related would be a huge, huge, help.

Hey Gabe, this photo is me at Thunderhill around 1997. I'm curious what made you think it was Tim?

This is the only picture I have of Tim (yellow number plate in fifth position at top of photo)...

Trying PM again :)
