Sometimes you get things accidentally right

A while back I ended up with TWT's 116,xxx mile VStrom. The top end was shot and the fork bushings were toast. I pushed it outside for a while when a friend offered up a fresh SV650 engine from a former race bike. It was cheap enough, so I picked it up and stashed it in the corner for a rainy day. I figured I'd swap it in and make a couple $$ on the deal. This may sound ignorant of me, but I had no idea that the SV and VStrom engines were different save for the ecu. I have conflicting information, but I do know that they use different cams at the least. I went ahead with the swap and hoped for the best.
It totally works. The newly dubbed SVStrom is pretty spectacular. It has all the comforts of a standard Wee, but had a nifty powerplant that has a pretty kickass power curve.
10/10 would hoon again...
