SB-1, the transportation bill at first excluded State Parks and Boating and Waterways from the increased funding from raising gas taxes. That changed in the final version that was signed by the Governor.

This bill, commencing November 1, 2017, would transfer the gasoline excise tax revenues attributable to boats and off-highway vehicles from the new $0.12 per gallon increase, and future inflation adjustments from that increase, to the State Parks and Recreation Fund, to be used for state parks, off-highway vehicle programs, or boating programs.

(2) The revenues estimated to be available for allocation under the act to the state are estimated over the next 10 years to be as follows:

(E) Eight hundred million dollars ($800,000,000) for parks programs, off-highway vehicle programs, boating programs, and agricultural programs.
