Up for sale or trade is my 2007 KTM Adventure 990 ABS. I recently got this, cleaned it up, repaired anything that needed repairs, but I find myself not really wanting to ride it. I prefer my Hypermotard.
The bike has 36K miles, no leaks, no issues. Runs great, everything works. I set it up to do some trail riding. Last oil change was 1500 miles ago. Clean CA plate and title in my name. I put on a lot of new parts, and have a bunch of spares. Engine sounds strong and healthy - fires right up, and no cam chain noise.
The good:
- New Conti TKC70 tires - maybe 50 miles on them. (no front tire wobble! smooth to 100 mph)
- Konflict suspension
- Protaper Contour handlebars
- OEM KTM crash bars
- OEM KTM kickstand enlarger
- OEM KTM new style glove box
- New chain/sprockets with DID Xring chain
- handle bar mounted map selector switch
- Rottweiler performance tail light/rear turn signal
- Zipty racing rear axle puller
- G2 throttle tube
- Kickstand relocation bracket
- Rear brake master cylinder guard
SAS mod with block off plates and canisterectomy done.
The bad:
- Right tank fuel petcock was stuck closed. New petcock replaced and now working perfect!
- Sprocket carrier bearings were toast when I got the bike (apparently very common problem) replaced with all new OEM KTM bearings, spacers, washers, etc.. the whole clip. Was not cheap!
- Front brake line has some wear, seems cable rubbed up against the fender. Will include a brand new OEM front brake line (not installed)
- Rear wheel has a ding on the lip. The tire balanced perfectly and you cannot feel anything when riding. My wheel guy suggested I just ride it as-is.
- various scratches, dings, etc.. Overall not in bad shape, but don't expect a show quality bike!
