Lunch Box
Useful idiot
Sold!
1994 DR350SE (Electric start)
I bought this bike in 2016 while I was working on getting my 690 back on the road and needed something for the Sheetiron. It's a cool little bike, but I just don't need it.
Price: $1200
This is a great little bike, for the most part. When I bought it, the stock carb was in rough shape. Rather than replace it with a stock carb, I dropped about $500 and got a fancy flat slide carb for it. This required removal of the airbox and installation of a pod filter. The bike definitely has more snap than it did, but fuel economy isn't as good. The one bad thing about the bike is that 4th gear pretty much doesn't exist. The other 5 gears are fine, but 4th makes a bit of a grinding sound, and it is best to double shift to move past it. Not a big deal and it would be cheap to replace the gears if I had the time or inclination. The exhaust should be replaced, as it is pretty much a straight pipe and is very obnoxious. The bike has an oversized "natural" color gas tank, so it is easy to tell how much fuel you have left.
The bike isn't perfect, but it is priced to move as I need it gone. The silly stickers on the fuel tank have since been removed (they were just put on for the sheet iron anyway).
