SM track days

FYI Guys - After seeing HadesOmega's videos I got pretty pumped and rode over to Sonoma last Monday with a couple buddies to check out the kart track. Same 3 Huskies and 2 Ninjas were there. Talked to the staff and found out they have a 500cc limit though.... major bummer for me because I was planning to put 17s on my DR650 and ride it on the track.... :(

So I sent them an email requesting that they consider opening the track to DR650, KTM690 and Husky701. Haven't heard anything back yet but if you ride one of these bikes and you're interested send them an email and if they get enough interest maybe they'll open it up to us as well.... :thumbup

I've seen plenty of >500cc bikes on track, including 701s, XR650Rs, etc. I guess it's a don't ask don't tell thing if it's a single (can't imagine an SXV550 getting kicked out either).

I think Stockton has laxer rules, especially for first timers, but that's a lot farther for you.

OK the SM trackday monkey that I thought I had in control has suddenly awakened again. When is next Stockton SM day? Who is running it now?

F*ck, I just saw that there was one yesterday. 11/4/18:ride in Stockton.


Where/when is next local one? Got the 450 EXC back in SM form after riding dirt for a while. Rebuilt carb, valve adjusted, fresh oil, didn't know I had bad air leak , she now runs like when I first got her. Ready to take on more abuse.
