Was out there two weeks ago, it was in perfect condition
It's open. I don't know what all the hype is about. I live close to it. I don't enjoy it that much.
Well you're able to ride it whenever you'd like. Of course there isn't any hype about for you! :rolleyes
I feel like we have different definitions of "perfect", sir, unless you're only referring to the east section. :laughing
The western part of road is in great shape for Skaggs but I suggest bringing water. It's been stupid hot on the eastern side of the coastal range up there. On a similar road farther north last weekend I finished the last of my water and was having trouble staying awake to get to a place to cool down and hydrate more.
Horrible.
Do not, I repeat, do not attempt to ride it.
Fucking tigers man.
I think Ulysses was out there battling harpies.
I lost my bike for three days in a pot hole containing a Cyclops.
The rivers all contain ring wraiths and the bridges trolls or hipsters.
Anything in a forest and you will assaulted over a pinball machine.
Do not attempt to ride it alone, and definitely not in groups. Groups attract other groups, roving gangs of overweight Vespa riders will block the road.
Chp patrols the road with countless drones, countless.
There is Dr Good/Evil's lair out there if you know where to look.
No really, go look

Don't try to ride this road
sounds like a stop for a burnout or two is needed....I've also heard that that Buddhist temple is pretty culty. But love driving by and seeing the tall ass fences and keep out signs.
Even when I lived further away, and road it for the first time I was unimpressed. After reading about it for years it was a major disappointment.
The east part is not my favorite, as it would be necessary to carry triple digit speeds to make it interesting. As I am not a fan of doing that on the street, I don't love that part of the road. That said, the section between Hwy 1 and the bridge is fantastic. Tight, technical and very scenic. :ride
I'd have to agree with you. The road out to Stewart's point is quite nice. It definitely can be a bumpy ride in some spots which deters some people away.
