I caught a big 5lb bass once and brought it home in a black trash bag because I forgot to bring a cooler. I made the 30 minute drive home and somehow it was still alive when I got to my sister's house, barely alive. I figured, hell lets see if I can keep it as a pond pet in her pond. Assuming it would die anyways and be made into dinner, I placed it in my niece's smaller 6ft circle 18" deep pond that had maybe 2 dozen smaller gold fish and koi. I walked into the house, cleaned up for a few minutes and told my sister about the bass. She said, no, no big bass in the pond, just bring it in and clean it. I walk back out (maybe 10 minutes later) and the pond was a murky mess, couldn't even see in it at all and the water was basically boiling. I netted out the bass and brought it for my sister to clean then took off.
The next day my niece was wondering where all her gold fish went. I looked in the pond and EVERY single fish was missing, her mom told her they all died, water must of went bad or something. I was in an "oh shit" shock, looked at my sister and said... "NO WAY that bass could of ate all that fish, it should of still been in shock from the long drive out of water." She said, nope....."They were all inside that bass". To this day 20 years later, my niece still doesn't know that her uncle's bass freakin' massacred her poor goldfish and koi in her pond.
