Significant Improvements to the Wall

Last weekend I took a quick detour out to The Wall. Last time I had been there was about a year or two ago with a small crew including MadDevil to clean it up. We noticed all the benches were broken and defunct and guard rail totally bashed in.

It was refreshing to see multiple benches put up and huge trunks bordering the rail to prevent cars from using the shoulder parking.

Thumbs up to those who made this area look better! Obviously, phenomenal views continue.

AND Golden Boy is still in the tree:laughing

If I remember properly, the logs were put at all turnouts to discourage night time partying and the risk of fire that poses. It was during the height of fire season when they put there.

I think its an improvement too. What's odd is after the logs and no parking light-up signs appeared, a real trashcan was installed just down the hill. Some people are still too lazy to use it.

Really happy to see the Wall cleaned up. We took 10 bags of garbage out of there during our cleanup. And I agree, too many people are just pigs.

What's the story with that guy?

Someone took the turn too fast and by the time anyone found out he decomposed inside the suit so they left it there as a warning?
:laughing

No, dude was legend in the east bay hills, spray painted gold leathers and bike, I never met or spoke to him, and I'm not sure anyone else has either. But it was always a treat to see him out and about, cracking the occasional wheelie.

My guess, he retired Golden Boy and hung the gear there.

You can just make him out if you zoom in on this picture https://i.imgur.com/YCqNojp.jpg (one of the pictures from above)

It was just folklore he wasn’t real. Only people who ever saw him were the stoners high on weed and extacy
