Many of you know what that means.

With the addition of the pro races at Sonoma, I think we need our best foot forward. I aksed John Fosgate if he will come and announce with me.

For those of you newer to the AFM, John Fosgate was the voice of the AFM for many years and had more than a few iconic phrases. He also called many national events and will help bring this event to the next level. I'm stoked to have the opportunity to call the action with John!

Fosgate for non PC announcer! He can make water boiling an exciting event. The haggis eater ain't bad either.

Awesome move Vik! Johns a good dude and really loves the AFM! Plus he's a 250 guy so that's gotta be good!

Fossie was the guy on the mic when I left AFM in 99 after 6 years (?) with the club. Was great to hear him again on the mic on my first weekend back to the track. Wouldn't have been the same without him there, hope to hear more of him going forward

Beyond great!:thumbup that was some of the best announcing at a sporting event that I've heard in a long time. You covered the riders, the sponsors, the vendors, the winners and the close races in the packs. You gave us insight, excitement and anticipation. You guys made it twice as fun! Congrats and Thank you!!:applause:applause

Wish I'd had my cell phone on me though because I kept wanting to text you what was happening in the turns you couldn't see, like when a rider would go down or disappear and a yellow flag would pop up. It must suck to be blind waiting for news to come in as an announcer. I think you should plant people around the track for instant updates where your sight lines are limited.
But how you guys manage to even pick riders out of a crowd is still beyond me.:ride Roadracing is one of those few sports where binoculars must be quite useless.:laughing
