Sharp Park Rd. - repaving

If you like to take Sharp Park down to the coast like me, stay away for a while! They have all the pavement ripped out (both ways) and it was like riding on gravel the whole way down.

Huh. The road surface was in great condition, and I see no reason to rip it all out. Bet they're installing grooved pavement. :thumbdown

Typical though. Re-pave the decent stuff then ignor the beat up roads.

The short part of stage where it heads off to hwy 1 from 84 was in good shape and the last bit of fun before hwy 1. Then they repaved it about a year ago and when the chip seal finnnaallllyyyyy got shoved off the road sucked. Especially the ripples on the long right hand turn just before the top. Another example was the paving job on hwy 1 just south of 1/2 moon about the same time. Not a damn thing wrong w/ that section.
