Scorpion Leather jacket

Anybody wear/worn the Scorpion Stinger leather jacket? I am looking for some reviews that are not on shopping sites. Just want to know how they are and if you have crash tested them how they took it.

Are they junk or a good value buy for an entry level leather jacket?

I've had mine for 5 years and it's still my daily/only riding jacket. I've crash tested once into a dirt turnout and it didn't rip or tear. I landed on my shoulder and was sore a few days after, but the extra padding in the impact zones ie shoulder and elbow worked well.

The removable liner is a great feature and I've ridden in 30-110 degrees. So far the zippers and attachments have held up, although the left cuff zipper is starting to separate. With a little candle wax it zips up fine.

I'm looking to upgrade soon and might stick with Scorpion because it has treated me very well.

I've been through a few jackets in the last couple years and hafta say my Scorpion ExoWear is among the toughest, best-wearing, best-armored, and actually well-cut (so it fits! yes even a girl with curves!) jacket in the lot. I'm a daily rider and rotate through a few but this one's my total fave.

The zippers are heavy duty metal and they really hold up well. The leather is thick and you feel protected. The perforated Nikki model is essential for me (I am usually too hot) and it gets decent airflow, but when it's really cold or foggy/windy I can zip in the double-layer liner and I'm good with a thin fleece under there. The SAS-Tech armor is the best I've come across, it conforms to your body really well, and is well-placed in snug velcro-openable pockets, unlike some others where it seems like they stuck hecka bulky, cheezy flimsy foam blobs in there or it's prone to moving around.

They are really solid, and stylish to boot. Wipe that puppy down with a damp cloth every now and then to get the bugs off and the thing still looks just about brand new.

The way the stitching is done with the EXO Skeletal line is pretty sweet, the seams are not just sewn together, they are overlayed and stitched, and then folded over and re-stitched, the thread is actually protected in there. I haven't crash tested it but of the jackets to chose, this would be one of the top 2.

Other jackets, with cheap plastic zippers, they finally jam or fail...this one, not even close, not a loose thread or unravelling seam anywhere.

Also has reflective strips in black, for safety.

SUPER SOLID.

Mine's the black Nikki model, but there are others in the same line, men's too, obviously. I'd expect them to have the same great finish quality. You can see the detail on the white ones a little better ...
