Saturn, Jupiter, and the Moon, Oh My - 8/28

FLH03RIDER

Recedite, plebes!
Last night about this time Saturn (to the left), Jupiter (in the middle), and the Moon were all in a horizontal line about 35-40degs up from the southern horizon.

Tonight the moon is below Jupiter with Saturn is to the left. So depending on your conditions you might be able to see all three of them with the naked eye.

Enjoy!

Later tonight after 10-ish.

Moon, Saturn, Jupiter. If it's clear and you have some binoculars you may see four of Jupiter's largest moons.

You sure that's fog?

I like to use the desktop app, Stellarium, too. :thumbup

At about 8:13 tonight, Hubble will pass under Jupiter (right to left) in the southern sky.
