Is around 300 acres. Started around 3:00. Will affect riding as well as air quality in the South Bay / Santa Cruz. Loma prieta is where it is right on Santa Clara/ Santa Cruz counties

Hopefully is contained quickly with no injuries...unfortunately it is one of the hottest days this year and is spreading rapidly

This could actually be a threat to my home, with little change in direction. I thought I had enough crap for one year, but apparently not. I am not sure I have the energy left to evacuate and deal with the aftermath.

KNTV.com has some jaw dropping footage on-line. I stepped out my Morgan Hill back door and it looks awful. Keepin' you in my thoughts, Clutch.

I was pretty close when it started and now smoke is all over the Santa Cruz area. Hopefully it's taken care of quickly

Hope those of you who live in the area affected by the fires are safe.

Dunno about the rest of the people here with trucks, but if you have to evacuate and need a hand let me know. I have an SUV so probably can't take a couch but I can take bags and people.

PMs go straight to my phone email, and I'll be up till about 1-2am. Shoot me a PM and I'll give you my cell number if you want.

On Sunday, I was planning on doing a ride from Alice's down to Santa Cruz along Hwy 35 & Hwy 9, and then back to San Jose up Hwy 17. Will that be doable this weekend?
