Taking a little road trip this weekend.
Santa Rosa to Morro Bay via 25.
Probably coming down 880 to 101 to Hollister.
Any better, funner way through Hollister?

I like 101 to San Juan Bautista to the Hwy 129 exit, left onto San Justo Road at the top of the ramp, to Duncan Ave, Bixby Road, Frietas Road, cross Hwy 156 onto Union Road ... if I need gas I go and make a right on Southside Road to Tres Pinos (gas), if not, I make a right on Ceniga Road and go past Hollister Hills HOV to right on Old Airplane Road to Airline Hwy ...

idk ... I like to bypass Hollister ... :ride

If threading your way around San Juan Bautista is more time consuming than you want, then either take the 129 exit and San Juan Hwy which turns into First St right thru town to 156 --- or take the 156 exit straight from 101...

...but once on 156 heading toward Hollister do turn right at Union, then right on Cienega (you'll see signs for SVRA Hollister Hills dirt park) -- Cienega is nice and will get you to 25 when it T's at Airport.

I'd avoid 92 off 280 this weekend, it's been a mess, and there's enough trouble still going on from 35 south of Alice's that I'd give that a pass until people get back and settled down.

Some great roads around Paso. Enjoy.

Hey I'm a beer guy so I'm going to recommend you stop by Firestone in Paso Robles as they sell a ton of Barrelworks there if you like sours. And again if you were to like sours, hit up Libertine in Morro Bay for even more good sour beers ort

Lastly a lifeprotip, go to Blue Sky Bistro in Morro Bay and get the lobster bisque in a bread bowl. My absolute favorite thing over there.

You are probably aware, but I will throw it out anyway: Nacimiento-Ferguson Road and Highway 1 are closed due to the Dolan Fire. So that takes away one fun cutover to the coast.

Hwy 9 and 35 are open again, 236 is still closed.
