Rise of Skywalker (PLEASE NO SPOILERS)

For those who care, and actually like Star Wars you're welcome to post here, all others go away. ;) :twofinger

Lets please keep the spoilers OUT of this thread before and after the movie releases.

Tickets go on sale tonight sometime around Monday night football half time, probably around the time of the next (final?) trailer.
I'm really looking forward to going. I actually like ALL of the Star Wars movies, some way more than others.

Anyway who else can't wait?

The middle film of the final trilogy was trash all around and Rian Johnson is a massive hack that shit on all the fans and everything they wanted to see.

Even Mark Hamill said his character was awful. Honestly what a terrible and long movie. Nobody cares about Rose and Finn, they've got no chemistry.

So...woohoo? Cash grab.

If you did like it....why?

Rolls with it...
I thought Rogue One was pretty good. All the others sucked real, real bad.

This.

Adam Driver is terrible in these movies, and I generally like him in other films.

If it's playing in the theater on a rainy day, I may go see it, but I can wait.

Its Dethklok!
I've disliked the series thus far. This coming from someone with SW tattoo's. I don't like Daisy Ridley, her character or the constant smile on her face. There is no chemistry between the actors and the story doesn't jibe for me. Also, the last time I went to the movies I came very close to getting into a fist fight with the guy behind me. (seat kicker) I'm a pay-per-view person now.

Eldritch

is insensitive
I liked most of them. I always fall asleep when Rogue One is on, and The Phantom Menace was pretty damn bad, but I watch that shit, sure.

Why? You knew they all die from the very first SW movie in 1977.... :dunno

Why? Because it was boring. I didn't like any of the good guy characters. I literally can't remember any of their names and barely remember the lady's name.

It was just not very entertaining.

Also I was born in 79 and A new Hope was 78 so not too old. I never thought they'd make worse movies than the prequels, and yet here we are.

No desire to see Solo either got terrible reviews and haven't heard a good thing about it.

Star Wars A New Hope was release in late May of 1977. I saw it sometime in June of that year. I was twelve years old. I've also seen The Force Awakens which was A New Hope all over again with slight changes but I still enjoyed it.

None of the new movies will hold up because all the Star Wars movies are aimed at twelve year olds and none of us (I'm just guessing) are twelve years old anymore. If you like the Star Wars saga, enjoy all the movies for what they are: fun good guys vs. bad guys stories with occasional interesting characters and great special effects. Expecting something that challenges and surprises an adult will only lead to disappointment.

I went in with zero expectations. I liked the FOrce Awakens. Last Jedi was a bad movie.

Unless you're saying all Star Wars is automatically good? Seriously Spaceballs was and is a better film.

Could be worse, Kevin Costner could be in them.... :twofinger
