Lived a hundred years and I'm thinking his 100th year wasn't even the most exciting. He did get a Spitfire flyover when he was knighted, but they missed his house.

He showed us it's never to late to make a huge difference or for one's life to change. At 100 he received a promotion from the Queen and was able to meet her. He also rallied the world around his actions and was a bright spot in a rough year.
