Rider Down RIP Rupert

ToxicMark

The dose makes the poison
This weekend, my friend Rupert died in a solo motorcycle accident on Highway 24 near the 13 interchange. He was not a Barfer, but he was a rider. What little is covered in the news does not make sense to me. He was an experienced and cautious rider and the article sounds like he up and veered right off the highway without any reason on a dry summer evening.

I'm confused and pissed and sad. And I will miss my friend. God's speed, Rupert.

Rupert was the partner of a close friend, and so well-loved by our community. He was expected at a gathering of friends that afternoon, but never showed. We are incredibly shocked and sad. The loss is rippling deep and wide.

I can't imagine what would have caused the accident.

"Witnesses told officers that the man was driving on the highway when he veered suddenly to the right, off the road and into the tree."

:rip Rupert. Sorry for your loss toxicmark. I ride there often and cannot even recollect where riding eastbound one would possibly hit a tree? Either way, any number of things could have caused it but in the final analysis....ride on another time and place rider....
