Return of AFM Results to RRW

Didn't realize config 13 CCW was only 2.72 miles... always thought it was 3 or 3.0...

Anywho...

WERA West runs the same configuration as AFM.

I've learned a lot since I started running the track. Buttonwillow is 2.72 miles.

Thunderhill, which I was always told was 3 miles, is 2.82 miles.

Ha! I thought FOR SURE T-Hill was 3.1.

Very good to know.

So... back to the lap record... feels like someone should correct the releases in RRW. Not to slight Joey's times -- he was unbelievably fast and dominant, ridiculously so for being on a 600 -- but out of deference to Toye's accomplishment from 2010.

(of course other arguments can be made about condition of asphalt, partial repaves, etc., etc.)

BW is the only track in which a 600 has won (twice) an FP race. It tends to say that the 1000 is not as well suited to BW as our other tracks. Agreed it was a heck of a win by the former Daytona 200 Champion, come to think of it that other AFMer to accomplish the feat was also a Daytona 200 winner. Well done.

I thought I remembered Tigert on the podium in FP on a Honda 600, as well... did that happen?

Haha! For weaving in front of Mesa!

Vik, awesome writeup! Thanks a ton…you rock!!!

Thanks, Berto. They'll be a lot better in the future as now I know all the RRW rules and how to more efficently export the race results to a usefull format. I actually expected RRW to reject my original submission with recommendations of format and content changes, but <poof>, they took the first submission.

Martin's run off was in Open GP, not Open SB. FWIW. :)

Nice job on the write up, Vik. Thanks, it is good to see AFM in RRW again.
