Replaced ignition and battery and bike won't start?

which model bike?

Many of them have matched ignition-switch to ECU with immobiliser feature.

Do you have factory service-manual for bike?

Do you have multimeter and know how to use it to measure voltage and resistance? Manuals typically have very good step-by-step test procedures to find out what problem is. Usually don't even have to replace any parts. Even better if you have oscilloscope. About 30-minute procedure tracing voltage with multimeter. Easy 5-minute fix with oscilloscope.

Newer ninja.

I literally saw your comment while I was googling around: https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=278458

:wow:wow:wow

EDIT: I don't have any tools like that. What's my best option here? Return the ignition on ebay and buy from OEM Kawasaki dealership since I still have my old keys. Or take it to the shop and have the mechanic to solder it out? Thanks!

I know you said you checked, but it still sounds like a main fuse or relay. What bike did you say again? Year/make/model for the win!

Was new ignition-switch simply plugged in to fix? Or did you have to repair wiring as well?

U.S. Ninja 300s don't have immobiliser like European versions, so ignition-switch should be OK. It takes decades to wear out, so it's probably good.

Lucy brought up good point on fuses. Because you don't have dash lights when turning key ON, that's sign power isn't getting from battery to ignition switch to dash.

So you'll want to measure all fuses, including 30-amp main fuse on starter solenoid. This is ONLY way to determine if fuse is actually good. If I had penny for every time I heard, "fuse looks OK", but turned out to not conduct electricity...

here's how to use multimeter to measure voltage, resistance and current. https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/how-to-use-a-multimeter/all
And basic multimeter that'll get job done. https://www.harborfreight.com/merch...buys/7-function-digital-multimeter-63759.html
