Regular Track Goers for 2020

I'm looking to meet folks across the community on BARF. Who here plans to be a regular track goer in 2020 either at Thunderhill, Sonoma, or Buttonwillow (or any combo of those three)?

I do a couple of TDs a year at Buttonwillow. Might do one or two at Sonoma in 2020

I will be doing all of the FunTrackDayz Thill events, and will likely do some Sonoma, Buttonwillow, and Willow Springs days.

Someone usually starts a "who's going to...." a week or so before each event so you'll get a good idea from there.

If you want to meet people who go to the track, go to the track and meet them.

The racing/trackday community in real life is far more robust than activity on BARF would have you believe. As evidenced by the underwhelming response to this thread.

I strongly recommend you try out each of the track day providers, too. They all have a different vibe/feel. I started off with almost only going to Z2 but found that I was really limiting my experience. Carters has a very different vibe, as does Fun Track Dayz, PTT, Let's Ride, and Cali.

Although I've got the least time with Let's Ride they have a special place in my heart for them as the owners are members of my college riding club, ZRated.

The key is to interact with the people pitted around you. Ask for help. Offer help. The people of the track are why many of us keep doing it.

I too will be at all the Fun Track Dayz events, I got a VIP season pass, I'll be there on the RR, got it firing on all 4 cylinders, New full exhaust and Attack performance rear sets , just waiting for my Bren Tuner !!! See you there if not sooner :ride

OP, TD's up here are excellent and their own little communities. You'll find tons of knowledge and resource rich current racers, ex-racers, and fast instructors. Post up here when you're going and put a pic of your bike up so we can find ya.

I’ll be around as much as I can. Maybe fewer track days this year as I dip my toes in AFM

Not too many fewer...Trackdays are GREAT passing practice too!

This is good advice. There's a different flavor at each TD, and they all do great with us riders.

Sweet! I got the VIP pass also. I'm doing some upgrades on my kart track Ninja 250, so I can rip around in B/C group sometimes and keep the RSV4 for A group time.
