Red Sticker Registration Question

Does anyone know if can you bring in a new (unregistered) red sticker bike and register it here without issue? Without issue meaning just go to the DMV and pay tax and registration.

New as in bought new from a CA dealership? New from out of state? What bike, year, and from where is the originating title?

CA sucks, and it looks as if your about to find out all about it. Smog/residence status are the main concerns.

Bought new from a dealership out of state. Bike is a 2014 or 2015 YZ250F. Will have the manufactures MSO I am guessing.

It's been years since I've known someone who's purchased a new dirty bike from out of state, but it was no biggie. They're paranoid that people do it to dodge taxes, but you're obviously prepared for it, so you should be good to go unless something has changed.

Thanks to those that replied. I spoke with the DMV too and it appears you just pay your sales tax and registration and everything is good to go.
