Recommendation on new tires for CBR500

Need to get some new tires on my CBR500 2013. I use it for touring and commuting to work so sport touring would be best IMO but open to any suggestions. Got 8K miles on my stock Dunlop and need tires that could do the same or even better than that. Budget is not to shell more than $150 for front and rear. Advice please.

At that price you're really limiting yourself to whatever is on sale. Looking at Revzilla it looks like Dunlop Roadmsart 2's are within your budget, probably over budget after tax. There's literally nothing else I see on that site even close to $150 for a set in your size, but you could do some shopping around and maybe find something else? How will you mount them? If you get a great deal online for $150 you will have to pay extra to have them mounted at a shop. If you buy them at a shop they will cost more but mounting is usually free or cheaper. That's a really difficult budget to stick to for tires.

Dunlop GPR300's are fairly inexpensive.

I get this what the best tire for me question alot. It's very similar to the what's the best motorcycle engine oil for me question.

Short story short, there's no best tire for you. All your tire choices are all just different flavors of good choices. As long as you get a name brand tire in the correct sizes you did good.

If you want longer lasting tires then choose a sport-touring tire...
AVON Storm, BRIDGESTONE T31, CONTINENTAL Road Attack, DUNLOP Roadsmart, METZELER Roadtec, MICHELIN Pilot Road, PIRELLI Angel

If longer lasting tires not a priority then choose a sport tire...
AVON Ultra, BRIDGESTONE S22, CONTINENTAL Sport Attack, DUNLOP Qualifier, METZELER Sportec, MICHELIN Power, PIRELLI Rosso

If its just for commuting, I found continental tires a cheap option... $177 for the set
MotoSport.com has them and I think it's free shipping for orders above $100

Thanks guys, I am getting a pair of Bridgestone T30 Evo for $200

I think it's a good buy. I will stretch my budget and rather invest in good long lasting tires that I can enjoy. Even when commuting.

Thumbsup, Love Bridgestones T’s and S’s for the street. Run through a bunch of both. Done track days on both.
