recalls?

hey, so it seems like my bike has 4 recalls, do they like expire or something? if the dont expire can i take the bike to the dealership even if im not the original owner?
or how does that works? tnx

Safety recalls should be free.

Manufacturers issue recalls while NHTSA enforces them Recalls don't expire but NHTSA only enforce for "reasonable periods." If a dealer refuses you can contact NHTSA. It is better to get it dealt with sooner rather than later.

Me thinks 18 years is in the later category.

I’ve had recalls done with no issue on 20+ year old vehicles. Bring it in, the manufacturer doesn’t want the liability and most likely will do it no hassle.
