ram truck bed

I have a 2017 ram 1500 crew cab. I always use my trailer when going to the track. I'm taking an extra bike and was wondering if a bike will fit in the bed with the tailgate closed. I know it will have to go in at an angle, just want to know if it will fit in any configuration. Fyi, it has the ram box
Thanks

Do you remember when people used tape-measures? Pepridge farm remembers.

Not all Rams are the same mate. Some have full size beds, some have shortbeds, etc. Nobody here can answer this question.

Sure you can, someone who has a 2017 ram crewcab with a ram box. The only come with one size box. I dont have a ramp and that would be the only way to to see if it fits. A tape measure would get you close. Someone who has done it would know.

Even If the tailgate doesn't fully close you could use a tie down strap to hold the tailgate up so it doesn't interfere with the trailer. That way the bike could be in at an angle and will probably fit. If I can fit my FZ09 all the way in at an angle with the tailgate closed on my 2001 F-150 SuperCrew with a 65-in length bed then I'm sure you can fit your bike diagonally in the bed of the truck with the tailgate closed for almost closed at least.

orly? https://www.allpar.com/reviews/ram/...st majority of new,Ram is hitting most buyers.

RamBox Cargo Management system with the 5’7” and 6’4” bed – Ram is hitting most buyers.

If you need to be so specific that a tape measure of your bed and your bike won't tell you, no one else will be able to give you the answer. Is their bike the same? Is their geometry the same? Are their tires the same size? (50/60/70 series?)

I don't own a Ram / RamBox truck, but from the site cg_ops linked to it looks like the bed is ~48" wide (same as between the wheel wells of a full width bed).

If you have the 6.5' bed, there's a very good chance you can fit the bike diagonal with the tailgate up. When I load my R6 I don't put my tire all the way into the corner, and I don't have to kick the tail all the way to the other side to get the tailgate up. I'd estimate it fits entirely between the width of the wheel wells. That's a '11 GMC 2500 with 6.5' bed.

If you have the short bed, I don't think you'll be able to fit a bike (even something small like a 300) with the tailgate up.
