Anyone know why some "rally" bikes have plastic covering the engine? :afm199 Can't see the hardware! Keep it cleaner?

Seems more body panels complicate maintenance and repairs, add weight. 'Splain me, please. :dunno

Style is my bet. Aero may have a small play but for an OG like me coming from spr0tbiles it makes them look faster :laughing

I was thinking maybe it's to make the bikes easier to clean up, keeping dirt and debris at bay?
