Good catch, thenks for bringing this to our (my attention).
The asterisks in your post are the clue to the censored word: "steve".
We have a very persistent spammer or spammers that place a link in their signature that contains 'steve' in a portion of the link. I attempted to censor the word to break the link to many websites they place in their signature. I thought I did it correctly, apparently I didn't.
I fixed it.

The mystery to why I couldn't find any BARF references to that big East Bay pothole/sinkhole they named Steve has been solved.
