question for rental property owners, from a renter:)

NEED DECALS? PM ME!!!!
so my wife and kids live in a house we rent. the property management company called 4 days ago and said that we should expect to hear from an appraiser in the next couple of days. first question i had was "is the house being sold?" we were assured that the house was not being sold but that the owner is trying to refi the house.

my question is my garage is a mess and my gated sideyard needs to be cleaned up a little (small stack of plastic boxes and a couple bikes). will these 2 issues be a problem with the appraiser?
we like the house and the area we are in and i realize that the owner has every right to sell the house if they want and i have no problems with that.

the house is in better condition then when we received it as i have made many improvements after talking to the owner and property management company.
after talking to the appraiser this morning he want's to come tomorrow morning.
what should i expect?

thanks

Yeah. If it's just for re-fi, nobody cares. They are looking for visible damage, roof conditions, windows, etc etc , not your clutter. It's nice that you care, tho.

I tend to be extra sensitive to this sort of thing as my parents were the people who would rent and let the house go to shit. I try to take care of the house we are in as if it was my own:thumbup

my credit sucks but my rental history is golden for over 20 years now, never a late payment and the properties were always vacated in exact or better condition then when we moved in.

Yeah, not to worry.

They came out to look at mine when I got new home owners Ins.

The report said "Crack in stucco, Tripping hazard and Hole in House"

Yeah, there's a small crack in the stucco. The "tripping hazard" is a small folding anchor I installed in my driveway to lock up my bike which is totally out of the way and um folded. You have to try really hard to trip on it.

The one that really tripped me up was "Hole in House". For the life of me I couldn't figure out what that was until one day when I was out in the yard I and saw my doggie door leading into the garage. :laughing Then I got it, there is a hole in my house. :wtf

You sound like a great person to rent to.

As others have said, you have no worries in terms of having to reorganize.
