So I am on paid administrative leave right now. I am trying to report this pay to unemployment as to not get in trouble. I am just unsure of what it falls under. Waiting on response from my HR department but wonder if any one know ls here.

You're being paid not to work, but you're filing for unemployment? I'm not really understanding. Why?

Well I was getting PTO hours which does not count against unemployment as it is already money earned. Now I am getting 20 hours paid administrative leave for 2 weeks. After that I am not getting paid and will rely on unemployment. I am reporting all wages to unemployment like I said and letting them sort it out

Are you hearing back from EDD? I filed for unemployment and haven't heard a peep from them. I got a confirmation number when I filed, but nothing since that ... no email, no snail mail ... tried calling and their system dropped the call (about 6 times so I quit trying). And of course, no money.

I can imagine they are slammed.

I applied on march 19th. Last day I worked was march 15th. Yes I have received paper work from them. Doing my biweekly certs online. I was paid the week I had used pto only according to my online account. I have not recieved my bank of America debit card yet. Most people I work with have had money roll in also with the debit cars in hand.

Probably took about 6 or 7 business days to recieve any mail from them

Sounds mostly like severance pay to me. But if you can write it in instead of selecting from a list, I'd put in paid administrative leave or however else they describe it.

My daughter just got her debit card, after requesting a paper check.
So far, no sign of the extra unemployment money from the government though.

The extra money only begins being added to checks TODAY, as in Monday. CA didn’t get it all certified up and running until last week

So , after requesting the paper check and getting a debit card instead, daughter checked the balance on the card.....$0
We're wondering if maybe they are still planning on sending her the checks.

They probably haven't deposited money into the card, but it will be a more rapid disbursement of the money if/when they do.
