Out of state OHV's in Nevada

I'm planning to head to Nevada for a day or two of riding on public land in Nevada. Can someone confirm there is no temporary registration needed, if I already have CA stickers on my bikes? The NV FAQ seems to suggest less than 15 days doesn't require I do anything.

"[Registration is not required if vehicle] is registered or certified in another state and is located in this State for not more than 15 days;"

From my experience, nothing is required. Was riding at Johnson Lane last year. As we were gearing up a LEO approached. They have special funding for a stolen bike program. Checked VINs on two green sticker bikes and was on his way. No questions about seeing registration or how long we were there for.
