My build tread, sorry not a pure Supermoto, but think it really fits in this sub section
like to call it a Shed Build, but in my set of circumstances its more of an Apartment or out on the Deck Build.

Starting with a KTM 990 engine, harness back dated to run a 950 CDI and harness topped off with Sudco Keihin 41 FCR carbs, its the lightest most compact V Twin complete with starter motor engine unit weighs approx 136lbs v 150lbs for the famous XR 750 engine i originally wanted to use, but to keep it more useable and significantly reduce build cost settled on the K motor.
J&M chassis with Penske Shock ordered expected delivery mid August.
front end is 990 Superduke 48mm WP's with 1 radial mount 4 piston Brembo, turned to be perfect length based on J&M recommendations of 29-31" spindle to top of fork length, next Durelle adj billet triple clamps and Roland Sands RSD forged billet CNC 19" wheels.
this is no catalog bike as only a couple were built before the GNC1 pro rules changed, as per photo on Waters Racing "Project K" riden by Jeremy Higgins pictured, so plenty of opportunity for many custom handcrafted parts will be required to complete the build.

This engine may be the lightest V Twin but my flyweight frame struggled like hell to get up the steps into my 1st floor apt, glad I'm moving ground floor next month.
after going back & forth in my mind to make this build simple as possible but stay with the minimalist Flat Track theme. I ended buying a used 1290 Adventure front wheel 19x3.0 this means i and use the stock 990 spindle, 1 floating disc 950-1290 so this will save time, not having to machine wheel spacers spindle etc, it has a ding on the rim see if i can straightened if not i will have new 2.75" x 19 rim laced on it.

back on the engine the stock intake ports measure a hair under 48mm no way can i install 41 FCR carbs even if its a bolt on kit, after a call to Lectron I'm going with 48mm Lectron's which can be tilted 35 deg, they do make custom downdraft 48's but said they are concerned with momentary slide hangup / release which could be a big issue in s street application, so on the downside not the best linear setup up but with a small angle change could benefit intake swirl help lower end carburation.
Tomorrow i make up Smog Plate block offs and order Durelle Racing Adj' Triple Clamps try to complete the front end asap

Are you going to the Sacramento Mile this weekend to check out Shawn Baer's bike and watch the races?

I have Turf Club seats also. 2nd time. Shade, food, a video monitor on every table, your own bar. Pretty nice. You have to go to a particular elevator to get to the Turf Club so ask one of the staff for directions.

I recommend watching at least one of the heats from down on the concrete apron where you can feel the bikes go by in a pack. Nothing like a Mile. Pits are open between qualifying and the heat races if you get there early. The teams and racers are very friendly and accessible. Going to be hot on Saturday.

I went to the Sac Mile, thanks for heads up info on Sean Baer #32, great to see him run down the field, winning a Semi Final race, great 6th finish on a home built frame KTM 950 running custom EFI, with Factory Indians and I think it was a Kawasaki ahead of him, all the Harley's were far behind is small budget operation.

Spoke with his mechanic, came away with some insights, observations, inspirations and ideas, even though mine is just a street bike V his competition bike.

Glad you enjoyed the Mile and had a productive discussion with the Shawn Baer's team. Can't wait to hear more about your project.
