I got mine on Wednesday. Didn't feel a thing. The second shot is on 3/11.
My wife got her second dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday afternoon. By evening she was exhausted and aching, and this morning she's running a slight fever and her legs are aching like crazy.
I have not-so-great lungs, so I make sure to get the flu vaccine every year, now. Some years my reaction is nothing-burger. Other years I can be pretty wiped out for a day+. I even got the flu one year after going to the doctor's office for a shot! I (and she) suspected that I probably picked it up in the waiting room right before, but it wasn't nearly as bad a flu as I might have otherwise gotten had I not had the shot.
But I have to tell you, once you get a bad bout of the flu, you know it. One year, when I was in my 20's, I woke up feeling pretty bad. Went to work from Emeryville in SF and by 11 a.m., didn't know if I could muster up the strength to get home. I was on the couch for 5 days straight and still feeling pretty puny 3 weeks later. And then I got pneumonia a few weeks later as a result because I'm an idiot and didn't pay attention to how sick I was. I honestly was scared that I wasn't going to pull through. At 26. And that took me a full six months to recover from. My lungs have never been the same because they're scarred. The shot is ALWAYS worth it.
Update: she says she's never had aches this bad in her life
Fever 101.6
I work for a residential treatment facility. The group I fall in is healthcare. What groups are you folks in that are getting the vaccine?
My 1st Moderna shot was 2 weeks ago resulting in a sore arm for a couple of days.Got my 2nd Moderna today. First one I had a very sore shoulder for two days that took another 3 to clear up. A little bit of arthritic pain in my hands that lasted for like an hour. So far today I am probably 60-70% as sore as the last time at this point in the day. No other symptoms.

I got shot #2 yesterday and confess it kinda kicked my ass. I got it at noon and by 2:00pm I had a crushing headache that lasted until early this morning and my arm feels like I ate shit on my bike. I can barely lift it.
FWIW, half of my company got the second shot yesterday and about half of those people called in sick today.
Still, no complaints from me. I'm grateful to have it.
Shot with Moderna yesterday around 10am. I'm old enough and in the educator-meeting-with-kids grouping. i.e., I coach a high school sport.
No symptoms. None. Zero, zilch, nada. Such that gives one pause to wonder...
Are they giving a placebo version for double-blind testing? :confused
So last night sucked but feeling much better today. I suspect people with weaker immune systems just aren't having much response to the vaccine. My mom is 71 and has had pneumonia many times. My dad is a bit younger but is going through chemo for AML so his white blood cell count is already messed up low anyhow. They both had Pfizer last week and reported no soreness or general crappy feeling.
Since I already had covid, the first vaccine I received kicked my ass. I woke up the next day feeling like I hadn't slept. My arm was VERY sore. I wanted to nap all day. Later in the day I got a fever and chills. The next night I tossed and turned, sweating in my sleep. The second day after vaccination I felt a lot better than the day before, but I still had a sore arm, sore lymph nodes, felt tired, and felt generally unwell, like my body had gone through the ringer. My neck felt like I needed to crack it, but couldn't. By the third day I was back to normal.
I read recently that if you've already had Covid and get the vaccine, you'll have much stronger symptoms than a person who has not had it. Possibly stronger than the second dose for those who haven't had it. It also said that they're trying to determine if you even need the second dose if you've had it already.I wonder if it's hitting those who had covid before harder? Might be hard to tell, because some people might have had covid, but never got tested or was just asymptomatic.
