OEM Tire Size or no?

Current bike has S22s from Bridgestone. I really enjoy them and it was the same with the S21s. My recent second bike needs a new tire set and has OEM tire size of 180/60. Bridgestone only sells the S22 in 180/55. What am I compromising on if I keep to 180/55 instead of moving to the OEM sizes?

assuming everything is identical except the size, the 60 will probably offer a little more edge grip and will turn in faster. however, nothing is identical so the comparison isnt valid. you are switching compounds, constructions, profiles, width, height, and more. you'll be comparing an old 60 to a new 55. when u feel a difference, it likely won't be caused by the size change. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Man behaving bikely...
OEM 180/60 diameter = 25.50 inches

New 180/55 diameter = 24.79 inches

The difference between a 180/60 and a 180/55 is profile and diameter... the
180/55 is smaller in diameter and flatter in profile... the change in geometry is as
follows... fork rake is extended and trail is added which transmits to the rider as
an increases in steering effort...
