NVBDR north sections 4, 5, maybe 6 early Sept

Planning to ride sections 4 (Tonapah to Austin), 5 (Austin to Elko), and maybe 6 (Elko to Jarbridge), leaving from Tonapah early September, just after Labor Day. Anyone interested in coming?

I'll be riding a KLR from the San Francisco area (La Honda) at a leisurely pace, which will continue onto the dirt.

You should check this thread out.

In 2017 I rode 98% of the Nevada BDR in September and I couldn't make it to Jarbidge because of the snow and mud. The last section became a slip n slide. You may want to leave sooner like this month. I underestimated how huge longitudinally Nevada was, it's nearly as tall as California. It was like 98F in southern nevada but once you get to about halfway it gets COLD like 60's then 40's. Or at least check the forecast for rain and snow.

I will. Thanks Hades.

Actually, I have reviewed that thread. I'm not deadset on Jarbridge and testing the weather. I could get off about a week earlier. I'll look at that and the conditions.
