Nitrogen refill - East Bay ?

I just bought a used Progressive shock, wanted to get it topped up with nitrogen if it needs it. Does any shop in the East Bay provide that service? Motocross service? Mountain bike?

Don't know about east bay but I suspect Addiction Motors will do it, since Dave Moss works out of that shop.

I do know Superplush in the dogpatch will refill your shock for $20 or a 12 pack of a good IPA. James is super cool too, and does great rebuilds for ~$120 which might not be a bad idea given you don't know its history.

I know where you can get 78% nitrogen for a good price. :twofinger

I initially filled my shock that I just rebuild with 78% Nitrogen using my bicycle shock pump as it well easily get the 180 PSI I needed. I then decided to bring it to 707 Suspension near my home for something closer to 100%

The air we breath is 78% Nitrogen.

Unless its leaking oil, it may not need gas. If you do get it filled, find out the pressure it takes beforehand.

Thanks for the suggestions. I spoke with Lawrence at LG Moto, and he was +1 on Dave Moss at Addiction and also recommended Jim at Catalyst Reaction in San Carlos.

This shock is dry and not leaking oil, but everyone I talk to says I ought to have it rebuilt, just in case.

Thanks again.

I was curious about this and it looks like several of the off-roading shops in the bay have nitrogen on tap for their aftermarket shocks. Might want to do a search, some give it out for free.
