Aloha BARFers!

Bay Area born and raised here, just finally joining this forum. I have been riding for 4 years (mostly commuting south bay + peninsula) and have loved every minute of it. Throwing peace signs at everything on two wheels and a motor, I enjoy how tight-knit the Bay moto community feels.

I began on a 2nd hand Ninja 300 years ago, which I sold and replaced with an FZ07. That change made our beautiful mountain roads feel a bit different, but it still beats experiencing them behind a cage.

Unfortunately, this post is somewhat of a farewell also, because I am actually selling my one and only bike due to recent changes in my life (physically and marital-y :laughing ). The future only knows when I will be riding as much as I previously did, but the love for motoring will always be there.

Stay rubber side down y'all!

Welcome and sorry to see you are giving up on riding, at least for the time being.

I started riding at age 6. I don't plan to stop until I can't physically do it anymore. It is that much a part of me. I was once asked by a woman I was dating to stop riding. I stopped dating her as she obviously didn't know/want/care for the real me, as the real me rides motorcycles.

My kids all ride and some of them still do ride.

Since 6? That's impressive.

Yeah I know what you mean; two wheels are my passion. Medical bills and my health will be prioritized until later (maybe I'll sit on an electric cruiser in the future :ride).

Uh. . . no one from BARF inspects your actual moto status when you lurk here. I suspect just having an interest in moto culture is qualification enough to be a member.

Don't go, we would miss you.
