hey guys I need a quad stake tool to rivet the master link on my EK chain. If you have one and can let me borrow it, it'd really help me out. I love wrenching on my bike, and if you help me out, I promise to pay it forward

Quad stake tool?

You can get a chain tool from cyclegear for $30. Parts regularly break if people don't know exactly what they're supposed to do, so I'd suggest buying one and not loaning it out other than to close friends.

Also, I don't think I've seen a solid nose rivet used as a master link on a bike. Most of them have a specialty rivet that requires significantly less force to spread.

a quad stake tool is used together with a sturdy chain tool for chains from companies like Regina and EK. They aren't super popular, but aren't rare either. the cyclegear chain tool won't work on solid links
