Hi,

I have a 1971 Norton 750 Commando that I've owned since 1973 (second owner).

I want to get the old Snortin' Norton back on the road and was wondering if anyone had recommendations on an old brit-bike rebuilder in either the Bay Area, or in the Sacramento area as I live in Granite Bay near Folsom Lake.

Recommendations anyone?
Thanks in advance!

Rabers is in Almaden, I've bought parts from them and I believe they've got a shop. Might also have a recommendation in your area, they've been in business a long time.

Or, if you sell it to me I'll get it back on the road and then sell it back to you (fingers crossed, I'd totally keep it). A 2-owner Commando owned since 1973, that's very cool.

I loved my Nortons. Truly. Wish I had kept the Interstate. It was great for embarassing 600 riders at stoplights.

Thanks you'all for your input.

I have history with my Norton since '73, so I have a very strong emotional attachment to the bike.

I'm willing to spend the thousands to get it back on the road! :afm199
