Need clear film on my tank

Can anyone recommend a place that applies clear protective film to tanks? My black tank is getting pretty mucked up, and I'd like to give it a little protection. This isnt something I want to do myself, so I guess Tankslapper is out. Anywhere in the north bay-San Francisco, Marin, Napa area. Thanks so much! :ride

PS. Or if anyone has experience doing this and wants to make a few extra doll hairs...

I just bought about 20' of 12" wide from this guy. You can get from skinny to wide and as many lineal feet as necessary. Good seller, fast, supplies the tool. Easy Peazy to apply. Spray soapy water and you can slide it around on the finish. When you get it where you want it, Spray with an alcohol/water solution to activate the adhesive and squeegee. Glossy and clear protection.

+1 on the 3m film. I bought a bulk roll and did the top of my tank. It conforms if you stretch while applying the film.

You can call some tint shops as some do those body/bumper wraps too.

i had the tankslapper on my bike before I got tank grips...
super easy to apply... highly recommended...
prefer it over the cheesy tank guard stickers...

You can get thin clear vinyl right off the roll. Design your own template, cut out your design and apply with warm soapy water and use a credit card as a squeegee. Save $$$'s over those overpriced 'kits.'

I use this on the Duc tank: Snider's paint guard.

Also a tip for applying. Spray surface with 50/50 mix water and alcohol, lay down clear plastic and smooth out with squeegee. Squeegee tip: on edge of squee put some self adhesive velcro, the soft component. It will then glide over surface and smooth bubbles much easier. All info and a little squee comes with the Snider stuff. Properly applied it's invisible.

Oops. I just went out to the garage and checked. It was the tank slapper precut stuff I used in the tank. Snider's on the odd shaped bits. But it's the same non3M stuff.

Thanks everyone, for all the tips. I don't want to do this myself, but seems to be the quickest way to get it done. Question though, will the removable film slide around if my knees and chest are pressing up against the tank? Would a permanent film be detrimental to the paint (I'm thinking long term, maybe color wear or cracking?)
Thanks!:)

in my case, with The Tank Slapper, once I put it on, within 48 hours it wasn't going anywhere... I bought the 3 piece version (side of tanks/front of tank) and tell it was there...

I replaced the side of tank bits (super easy to remove) with TechSpecs because I wanted to go to the track and wanted more grip, but kept the front of tank area and it still hasn't moved in almost 2 years... still looks like new with no cracking/bubbles or anything. The Tank Slapper doesn't use adhesives, just clings on... no issues in my case...

I used full trankslappers on my 1098. Never any issue of sliding. ONLY issue I had was with the static cling on the top of the tank and how it would start to peel off from the edges on very hot days if left out in direct sun. Usually temps you won't see around the Bay like over 100 degrees.
