When I see threads that are running on for too long I like to go outside and smash something to make me feel better. Or if its really bugging you you could just skip it and move on to the next thread.

:wtf It's a thread. Very, very few threads get closed, and only when they get out of line.
Not sure where your post came from, but all I could think of was WTF. What does it possibly hurt to not close the thread? Quite frankly, you're way out of line to demand that it gets closed.
