Moving - New furniture / Mattress

I’m relocating to Dallas in a few weeks and I am not taking anything with me besides my clothing and personal belongings. No furniture of any kind. No kitchenware. Nada.

It looks like Living Spaces has some good deals / prices. I’m mainly looking for a legit L couch that is comfortable. Maybe a recliner as well. Is Living Spaces a good place to go for things like sofa/dresser/nightstand/etc, or are there places you have been satisfied with?

Any recommendations on a new mattress? I’ve heard good things about Purple brand but have no idea myself.

edit: no interest whatsoever in ikea

Stay far, far away from Living Spaces. I had the worst customer experience in my life there. Long story short, couch failed three times within 6 months. Third time took over 2 months of hounding the corporate customer relations team to get anywhere. I finally got fed up and demanded a refund, which they kept refusing. Finally sued them in small claims court, and settled (for more than my asking) outside of court.

Yelp review here, which has a lot more detail.

Wow.. thank you. Well now I have really no idea where to purchase furniture. Any suggestions?

Depends on your usage needs. Only gonna keep it for a 1-3 years, whether cause you're moving or will upgrading? I've heard pretty good things about Ikea furniture.

Want something nicer that will last longer? Check for local deals on used, high quality furniture.

Love Sac has lifetime warranties on their sectional/couch/cube things, and they're completely customizable and machine washable. Will likely get one of those next year.

I've realized that furniture truly is an investment in that you get what you pay for.

do you know how I know the above poster may not have fully read the OP's text?

:)

I recommend https://www.tuftandneedle.com/ for your mattress needs. I love mine.

Thank you! How long have you had yours now?

CostMo? costco?

Purchased furniture from Living Spaces. No issues here..

Interesting. How long has it been / how have they held up? If I get a few years out of it I'll be happy.
