Madams and Sirs:

This should interest each of you, as the “Motorcycle County Park” of Santa Clara County is an exceptionally well run facility serving the citizens of Santa Clara County. This is also an underserved demand, and that problem is getting more extreme with population growth.
I rode at the motorcycle park a week are two ago, and much to my surprise, it was packed. Just about every spot in the parking lot was taken. This is exceptional because this time of year, a good percentage of off road motorcycles (dirtbikes) are registered with a “red sticker” which disallows riding locally during the dry months. This is a whole story in and of itself.
The parking lot was full with dirtbike riders using the motocross track made available by NCO Racing.
The full parking lot is evidence to how popular this sport is, and what a good job NCO Racing is making the track available to enthusiasts. The races they present are even a better example of what a healthy family outdoor activity dirtbike riding is. I hope you can each attend one of their future races. You had been invited previously.
NCO Racing is presenting another practice day next Saturday, the 18th. County supervisors, current and future should see this operation. County Parks should also see this. I know there is some interest in the local news media in this.
This is a city, county and state issue because of the funding crisis created by our elected officials. This fine park is threatened because state funding held in “trust” for off highway (OHV) activities has been diverted to other uses, possibly illegally.
In the past have contacted each of your offices personally in regards to these matters, and am part of organizations that represent tens of thousands of Santa Clara residents, and voters. I will post this on two local websites which are frequently viewed.

Please come see the Santa Clara residents enjoying our park on Saturday, July 18, 8 am to 2 PM, so you can better understand the needs of the public you are entrusted to serve. I do not believe any of you were able to accept my previous invitation; I hope you can see the importance of attending or sending a representative from your office.
I look forward to seeing some of you.
