I took but a few pictures on Saturday, none on Sunday. Somebody else took a bunch of really great pics. Weather was cool and cloudy Saturday, with dry soil that turned moist as we got up on Dogskin ridge. Cool, cloudy, and light showers Sunday, but moist soil so zero dust.

Be careful what you post. There’s Nazi moderators that’ll shut down threads if they don’t agree how you social distance yourself :rolleyes. BTW Stonyford is open and I saw the ranger Sunday. Park on the road instead of campgrounds and day use areas and you’re good

Definitely snow up top but still plenty of trails to ride. We put in 50 miles mostly out of the snow. I’m down to go tomorrow :ride

I’m not one to hold back on my mouth, although I get what you’re saying. In my eyes the way it went down was shitty, this particular person went as far as shutting down an ongoing thread that he himself started years ago. I may be wrong.......... I’ve been wrong before but I’m the type to speak on it. It was made very clear when I started on here to leave your feelings at home. Maybe things have changed over the years :nchantr

Are you referring to Butch's thread? You didn't hold back on anything else, so why this particular detail? I'm happy to speak to the situation here if you can confirm the details.

I am referring to Butch’s thread and thought it was chicken shit. I don’t believe any TOS were broken and nobody asked him to “condone” anything.

Good grief. <here's a tissue...>

Butch had nothing to do with that thread being temporarily locked. I made the recommendation and it was carried out. Butch knew nothing about it until it had happened. Its locking wasn't a TOS issue. It was to assist people in doing what healthcare professionals around the world are recommending for their own good (staying the hell away from one another). Now, if you insist on creating a situation where you can spread your cooties to your nearest and dearest friends, I'm guessing that Butch's thread wasn't the only way to make that happen. You obviously know how to work a keyboard (much to the detriment of BARF) so use that finely honed skill and go get yourself a ride together if you simply cannot wait another 3.5 weeks.

If there's more whining to be done about this, we can take it to PMs so as not to dilute 2Stroke's thread about his ill-advised ride (they're beautiful pictures though) any further.

I am actually quite surprised to find this type of response here. Do you support all of the riding areas and public lands being chained off?
The population density in my neighborhood and grocery store is far higher than the hills at Carnegie and many other riding areas.

Thanks OP for the post, I've always wanted to ride at moonrocks.

Anyone who starts a thread can implement changes to it.

Folks seem to be a little more careful about what they say to people in person than what is spewed on the internet. What you post does create an impression of what peeps think of you. It takes some folks a while, if ever, to figure out if that is important.

So no, I don't wanna ride tomorrow, so my thread is on hold. Actually I want to, but not enough to endanger others.

The good news is the down time will give the rangers some time for some much needed trail maintenance. The guys (and women) at Carnegie for example have some catching up to do after the lawsuit lock-down fiasco.
I'll see you out there soon, Butch.....and thanks again for all you do. Your Green Sticker thread is an education. We are all indebted to CORVA.
