I have a 2002 Suzuki bandit 1200
I apparently lost my one and only key. I do have the owners manual with this 5 digit or so key code for my bike. Is there dealers around here print me a key with this code or since its 2002 is it too old to print?

Worse case I would have to replace ignition completely but I do not want to do that unless it's the only way.

Thanks everyone. :thumbup

We get a lost key post here every month or two. Looks like it's been about two months since the last one. :rolleyes

Hey everybody! When you buy a bike and only have one key, go immediately to a good locksmith and get some duplicates made. I recommend having at least four total keys. Put one of them somewhere that it can't get lost. You'll then have spares for when you manage to lose one. Once you lose a key, have another one made to replace that one so you're back to four again.

I keep all of my spare keys in an envelope in my safe along with other important stuff.

Heh, yep. Also if you buy fancy bike make sure all paper work is included. Apparently some bikes come with fancy red card with some codes, and if you don't have it you SOL about making spare key. :nchantr FML.

The previous owner was smarter than me on this one I found my spare key that came with bike and I'm going to have a copy made from that.

On a side note i called a few places and every one of them said my key code. A2345 was too old to make a new one. Is this true?

No, it's not true. they can make a key using that code. They don't like you. :rofl

Seriously, why would they not make a key if the could? They make a living making keys.
