Looking for witness to fatal MC collision in Livermore

On Monday 5/13, at about 4 PM, we had a collision in Livermore on Holmes St. just north of Concannon Blvd. The collision was between a SUV and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was killed in the collision.

We have been told that there was a second motorcycle (possibly a dual sport) riding near or next to the rider before the collision. The motorcyclists were northbound on Holmes St. coming in to Livermore. We would really like to talk to that rider.

There is no indication the other rider did anything wrong or contributed to the collision in any way. We just believe that he/she would be a valuable witness for this investigation.

If you are this rider, or you know who the rider may be, please PM me.

Bump.

Anyone know a rider on a red dual sport that passes through Livermore in the late afternoon? I'd really like to talk to him/her.

My bf rides a red SV650 (not really a dual sport though) and is around that area but he would have stopped or at least mentioned it.

Sad indeed. RIP rider.

Thank you Sam for your efforts.

I live like three miles from there and ride that road many times. I did not know about this accident nor I've seen the other rider described in this thread. That is 35-40 zone I think. How did this happen? Any details on what happened?

I passed by going the other way just as the ambulance was rolling up. RIP :(

What about the cameras at seemingly every major intersection in Livermore?

Unfortunately those cameras do not record, they are used to detect vehicle load and prompt lighting cycles based on the load.

Long shot: what about that slightly off tanned man that walks all over Livermore talking to himself? Any chance he might know something?
