I just picked up a new set of sprockets and chain. Am looking for someone willing to loan me a chain tool. South San Jose area. If nobody comes through I will have shop mount chain after I do the sprockets.

Thanks in advance.

WTF LOL
I recently bought one of the ultra-cheap Harbour Freigfht ones for $10!
So far, I have(carefully) removed three old chains and installed three new masters without breaking it(tool) or damaging the new masters(knock on wood).
It's definately a total POS but, you could break 8-10 of em for the price of a good kit and, you might not have too(free replacement usually). I've seen plenty hacks break the good ones(and f up masters). :party

If you're planning on riding for the rest of your life - buy one. :laughing

That's what I did. I tried to sell it on here after I used it but no takers so I'll be keeping. Now I have a choice but it might make just as much sense to buy a clip type master link chain :dunno

Thats like saying Buy a tire machine if you going to keep riding:teeth

And I have all the tools I need to change my own tires - which I have been doing for a long time. Sometimes you need to step up to the plate and stop being a Guido. :thumbup
