I am pleased to share with you all that LG Moto (Formerly of the Addiction Motors collective) is back!

As many of you know, Lawrence is a great bike mechanic specializing in British and European machines with a soft-spot for Ducatis.

Jacuzzi street runs right down the middle of Hwy's 80 & 580 off of Central Avenue in El Cerrito.

--Just a Public Service Announcement to let my fellow riders know that one of the few remaining independent bike shops in the Bay Area is back. No actual affiliation with LG Moto, or any other shop. :teeth

wait what I thought there was a thread that said Addiction was shacking up with SpeedMob and the old Leo Vince place just an exit north on 580?

Good news! Lawrence did a great job on my Multistrada just before Addiction Motors shut down.

Yup.
Galen and Co. found a new place for Addiciton Motors over in the SpeedMob facility (also in Richmond).

To the best of my knowledge, Lawrence elected to take his business solo before Addiction was resurrected.

Great news to hear LG Moto is back in action.

Seems the LG Moto web page needs some work though, not found, not loading for me.

Such good news! Lawrence is a great guy and an even better mechanic. I've never known a tech so serious about his work!

So, are these two unrelated shops opening up in Richmond?

Not trying to pull a dick move here; I'm legitimately confused.

I haven't used them in the past, but read good things about their rep. Trying to figure out who it belongs to, or does it belong to both/split?

Unrelated shops.

LG used to be at Addiction, which was basically a mechanics collective in Emeryville. Addiction got told their lease would not be renewed and given 30 days to vacate. In that time they could not find a space and shut down. They had 5 mechanics under their roof, one being Lawerence/LG moto.

Lawerence has since reopened, while Addiction is opening Sept 2nd.

Congrats to Laurence, I know that its like jumping thru flaming hoops of dog shit to try to put together a moto shop these days. We talked at length about it at Laguna this year, and he was sweating the details at the time.

Please use his excellent service if you can. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic news. In addition to being a top notch mechanic, Lawrence is also just a great guy. Opening a shop is a huge challenge, and I hope anyone with a British or Italian bike will give him a try. He won't disappoint you.
