LEOs in Livermore area...headsup!

My friend told me that there was a a few strips thick line of duct tape going across Mine's Road at around midnight of the 8th. It was put up in a way that cars would hit it or worse, a rider would be clothelined. My friend took it down since he stopped just in time not to hit it. I already posted in General to let everyone know, but I wanted to make sure no one gets hurt and help get whoever is doing this taken care of.

Speaking of duct tape...

I remember a few years back, when I still had teenage kids at home, getting a knock on the door from a police officer. I was told that my minivan had been in the area where someone had called in to report duct tape in the road. It wasn't up high, it was laying flat on the street so that when cars ran over it, it would stick to their tires, then start making noises as the strips flapped around.

After the police officer explained it carefully to me, it was all I could do to keep from laughing at that clever prank. I was thinking that I wish I had thought of it back when I was a teenager.

Anyway, my son got a lecture, after explaining to me about "the best ones" who ran over it first. :laughing I would definitely get upset of he and his friends were into dangerous pranks, but the funny ones that don't hurt anybody only deserve a minor slap on the wrist. Fortunately he never tried anything truly stupid like in the original post.
