Just curious, which guitar do you think is worth more?

1. Kurt Cobain's guitar from MTV Unplugged show, or
2. Jimmy Hendrix's guitar from Woodstock?

Or, is this a generational thing where it's worth more to the generation that experienced it in their youth?

Hendrix for me always. And I kinda hate Strats because of their tuning issues. I don't think he had the upgrade systems that are around to get around the fact that those f2ckers are really hard to keep in tune. (forgot name of aftermarket thing, not a regular elec gtr guy).
There are some really great players since, but for me, Hendrix did the trio thing better than anyone, forever. Just one of him was enough (as opposed to solo and rhythm players). Every note mattered. Damn.

Sorry, I knew of the tuning issues with the Squier Strats, but those just came with cheap tuners that didn't stay in tune very well. I didn't realize that it was a general issue with all Strats. :dunno

Are you talking about the traditional Strat trem? You can fix that by making it a hardtail (I personally don't really care for tremolo in general... I have a guitar with a really good Floyd Rose style trem and it still doesn't stay in tune like a hard tail, so I hard tailed that shit) or they do have Strats that accept a Floyd Rose style trem, which are better, but as I just said, still not fool proof.

Re, Jimi vs. Kurt in terms of value, were Jimi's guitar to go up for sale again, I would imagine it would have increased over time. I think Steve Allen bought it and put it in a museum. It probably won't change hands for a long time. People still remember Jimi.
