Looks like you found all the helpful info to help you make an educated decision. It depends on how you ride/what you like. I personally ran my 250xc with the red spring, preload adjuster backed all the way out.

I run the red spring in my 300 with the adjuster flush on the outside of the casting (if that makes sense).

Nope. I still have the stock band in mine. I don't think I'm quite ready for the power band yet. :laughing
